Submission:
Two files must be submitted:
1-Manuscript file without names of authors:
The manuscript should include the Abstract; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results; Discussion; Acknowledgment and References.
2-The title page: 1) The manuscript title should be informatively made of a maximum of 15 words and without any abbreviations. The short title should be a maximum of 44 characters (with spaces) 2) The title page should contain the author’s full name instructional affiliations and ORCID. 3) E-mail, ORCID, address, telephone, and fax number of the corresponding author should be included.
Article Body, The submitted manuscript should contain:
Abstract: The abstract of original articles should include the title, Backgrounds and Aim, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, and three to five keywords from the Medical Subject Heading (Mesh). The abstract of case report articles should include a title, Background, Case presentation, conclusion, and three to five keywords from the Medical Subject Heading (Mesh). The abstract of Review articles should include the title, Backgrounds and Aim, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, and three to five keywords from the Medical Subject Heading (based on MeSH and in alphabetical order). The abstract should not be more than 300 words. The conclusion should be factual, based on your results, and state it succinctly. Do not overstate your conclusion, write speculation, or not support by data.
Introduction: This should summarize the purpose and the rationale for the study. It should neither review the subject extensively nor should it have data or conclusions of the study.
Materials and Methods: This should include an exact method, observation, or experiment. If an apparatus is used, its manufacturer’s name and address should be given in parentheses. If the method is established, give a reference but if the method is new, give enough information so that another author can perform it. If a drug is used, its generic name, dosage, and route of administration must be given. For patients, age and sex with mean age ± standard deviation must be given. Statistical methods must be mentioned and any general computer program used in accordance must be specified. The information on the system used should be mentioned.
Results: It must be presented in the form of text, tables, and illustrations. The contents of the tables should not be repeated in the text. Instead, a reference to the table number may be given. Long articles may need sub-headings within some sections (especially the results and discussion parts) to clarify their contents.
Discussion: This should emphasize the present findings and the variations or similarities with other work done in the field by other researchers. The detailed data should not be repeated in the discussion. Emphasize the new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that are following them. It must be stated whether the hypothesis mentioned in the article is true, false or no conclusions can be derived.
Acknowledgment: All manuscripts should contain an acknowledgment specifying and conceding contributors other than the authors. The authors should also recognize the financial support source in this section.
Figures: All the figures should be submitted as either a TIFF or JPEG file. Line art must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch). All scanned images including electronic photographs/radiographs, CT scans, etc., must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. If fonts are used in the artwork, they must be converted to paths or outlines, or they must be embedded in the files. All figure legends should be typed on a separate page. Keep text in figure captions to a minimum but explain all abbreviations used. Total of no more than 4 figures.
Tables and diagrams: Each table should include a title above (sample table). Non-standard abbreviations should be explained as a footnote of the table. Do not duplicate the data of the text in tables. If the results are presented as tables or diagrams, only mention the important points in the text. The diagrams are a preferable method of presentation when there is a large amount of data. The legends should be written under diagrams. The diagrams should be 2 dimensional. Total of no more than 4 tables
References: The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the citations provided. All manuscripts should be accompanied by relevant references. The references should be numbered consecutively in the order of appearance. All references should be cited in text by numbers placed in square brackets ( for example, Implant treatment results and complications were presented [1-3]. ) The References should provide the following information as stated in the presented models regarding to Vancouver style. Write all references with ENDNOTE.

Types of Manuscripts
Original articles should be organized in the following sections: introduction, methods & materials, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment, and references. The type of the study and statistical analysis should be mentioned in the methods & materials. Not more than three figures and four tables should be included. (Reporting guidelines in the EQUATOR Network)
Randomized clinical trials (RCT): The format is similar to original articles. Must strictly adhere to the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) minimum guidelines for publication of randomized clinical trials (http://www.consort-statement.org). The CONSORT checklist and CONSORT flow diagram could be properly filled and sent to us. RCTs should be registered in appropriate trial registries approved by the WHO and their registration number should be mentioned on the title page (such as the code number from www.irct.ir)
Case reports must include a structured abstract, introduction, case description, discussion, and conclusion. It is worth mentioning that case reports should be documented, concise, and contain a maximum of 4 figures. The case should be rare or novelty in diagnosis or treatment. CARE checklist could be considered his study should be described following the CARE statement
Systemic reviews and meta-analysis: The protocol of the study should adhere to PRISMA guidelines. PRISMA checklist and PRISMA flow diagram could be properly filled and sent to us. The abstract should be structured.
Review articles: should include a structured abstract, introduction, methods & materials, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment, and references. Review articles must be a general evaluation of new scientific issues and must be also accepted by experimental scientists with a research background about the subject which refers to their previous works in the manuscript.
Proof Reading: A computer printout is sent to the corresponding author for proofreading before publication, to avoid any mistakes. Corrections should be marked clearly and sent immediately to the Journal office. Abbreviations and symbols: Use only standard abbreviations. Avoid using them in the title and abstract. The full term for which an abbreviation stands should precede its first use in the text unless it is a standard unit of measurement.
Ethical approvals: In experimentation involving human subjects identifying information of the patients should be kept confidential and informed consent from the patient parents or legal guardian should be obtained if the patient is under the legal age. Authors must omit from their manuscripts any identifying details regarding patients and study participants, including patient names, initials, social security numbers, and hospital numbers. Patient details may be included only if they are essential for scientific purposes and the authors obtain written informed consent for publication from the patient, parent, or guardian.
These studies will only be published if the research has been conducted in full accordance with the ethical principles of the University Ethical Committee and the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki revised in 2000.
In animal experiments, animal care and instructions should be considered. Plagiarism should be avoided since it undermines the credibility of the paper. Any manuscript that has similar or near similar hypotheses, sample characteristics, methodology, results, and conclusions to a published article is a duplicate article and prohibited. Submission and publication of clinical trial studies in Medical Sciences Journals in Iran should be preceded by registration at the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials www.irct.ir and the serial number should accompany the manuscript submission.
Conflict of interest: Authors are responsible for recognizing and disclosing financial and other conflicts of interest that might bias their work. Report any commercial association that might pose a conflict of interest, such as ownership, stock holding, and consultant activities, or patent–licensing situations.
If the manuscript is accepted, the disclosed information will be published with the article.
Article Processing Charge (APC):
The Journal of Research in Dental and Maxillofacial Science follows an open-access publishing model, providing free and immediate access to all content in its archive for readers and interested parties. Upon acceptance for publication, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of maintaining the publication infrastructure, managing the journal, and facilitating peer-review and editorial processes. There are no additional charges for submission, page, or color. Iranian authors are charged an APC of 15,000,000 Rials, while authors from other countries have their APC waived. Iranian authors are also responsible for any translation or editing fees associated with their manuscripts.
Copyright: All submissions to the Journal of Research in Dental and Maxillofacial Sciences must be accompanied by a complete copy of a signed cover letter including the copyright agreement by all authors. The authors should warrant that the article has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication by another journal. Peer review process: The manuscripts will be considered for review by the date of reception. After the initial editorial screening, manuscripts will be forwarded to two peer reviewers who are experts in the field. Qualified tacticians evaluate the statistical methods of the paper. If approved, depending on the article type, the manuscripts will be published in alphabetical order of the author’s last name.
The final checklist
The authors must ensure that before submitting the manuscript for publication, they have taken care of the following:

2. Manuscript.
3. Photographs/ illustrations along with their captions.
4. Covering Letter.
